Go away it's boring here!

Do you find yourself getting stuck in a routine that you are unable to get out of at times? My life at the moment is on boredom mode during the week with nothing much to do. It goes a bit like this, get up, get kids dressed and  fed, get lunches ready, get kids to school/nursery,work, home again, make dinner, clean up, get kids to bed, clean up again, flop in chair and fall asleep.....repeat this step Monday to Friday.

I suppose everybody else feels the same at this time of year as well in the northern hemisphere, with winter almost over and spring not quite here there is not much to do without spending money. (Is there nothing free anymore?) At least Saturdays and Sundays are more relaxed but due to the current economic climate finances are strained and having to save for holidays as well, so evenings out have to be put on hold for a bit. My highlight this weekend will be a nice Indian, takeaway to enjoy. My mouth is watering at the thought...yum

  1. I feel your pain.

We're trying to get all of our credit cards paid off since my husband got served notice from one of them that they were shooting their interest rate up to 25%!!!!

  2. We've been poor for almost two years, thanks to my commission job. But soon we'll be normal again!
I'm not sure if I like Indian food. I'll have to try it one day.

Now I've got a craving for Tandoori Chicken and some Tandoori Masala Naan.

  4. Have a good old fashioned games night with the kids. Zero dollars spent and after the protests they will have a ball, and you will all hopefully have a memorable night together.
My kids best memories of their early childhood have nothing to do with what money I spent, but the time I spent with them having fun, they treasure these memories above all else.

  5. ALWAYS have a hobby and yes travelling the country eating different curries could be considered a hobby.

  6. Walking, bike riding, bird spotting etc are still pretty low cost. UK has some wonderful venues for same, but also some areas where it would be downright dodgy.

  7. doanli - the backs are are not very nice people at times they get themselves into a mess and we have to get them out of it.

becomingkate - You have to try Indian food it is just fantastic and I hope you get the job :-)

MrScrib - Someone on the same wave length...yum

DD - Most admit our best times are spent taking the kids to the country parks we have here and exploring the woods and climbing trees and I'm the biggest kid of all.

Naut - You have hit the nail on the head there, that sounds a great hobby to have, I may put on a few pounds but who cares!

Fin - We still have a few places left we can go to pretty safe for the day, not many but a few and there are still lots of places with stunning scenery.

  8. I think you should increase the drama levels in your life by embarking on an affair - think of all the places you'll have to go!
