Champions!

At last the mighty England cricket team finally wins a trophy of note and what better place to do it than in the land down under! It may be the women's cricket team but I bet they would give our current men's team a run for their money. They could even take on the men's Australian, team after their defeat to the South Africans the other day (losing by an innings.....the shame of it!).

So rejoice in the fact that England are World Champions!

  1. Of course it was the women who finally did the winning.
Sorry, was just feeling naughty. I am sure the men will remember how to play, soon. Hopefully. lol.

  3. doanli - yay for them :-)

DD - I am not bothered who won.....a victory is a victory and they are few and far between.

    BK - It sure is.

Mick - It appears they do and ours are far better than everybody else's women's cricket team!

Oh yes the Ashes are almost upon us, I just hope it doesn't rain and spare your blushes!

  8. Need we point out to do so they had to beat the might of... erm... New Zealand?

Do the England girls have a bunch of preening fashion-obsessed partners following them around like most of the England mens teams do? Not sure what you'd call them. The BAPS? (Boyfriends and partners)

Obviously the BCCI doesn't have any faith that the rain will hold off in England for more than 15 minutes, having moved their cash cow... sorry, very important club-based T20 tournament... to S Africa.
