Georgiina, my daughter aged 7, has invited five of her friends over this afternoon for a singalong on Singstar on the Playstation and generally to act daft for a few hours. It is going to be a case of earplugs in and sit in the corner and smile. I am taking bets on jusrt when the first arguement will start! Had to tidy her bedroom last night while she and her mum went to watch Mary Poppins at the theatre, I get all the good jobs. It had got into a state so I had to tie a rope to the door handle and then to my belt so I could get out again when I was first getting started. She has so much crap it's unbelieveable the stuff she finds outside and collects, from stones to leaves to twigs. Anyway it all found itself in the big dustbin and the room is just spotless now. It was great spending 1.5 hours of a Friday night cleaning. As you all know Friday night should just be a chill out and a beer night.
I think I will take the boy and vanish for a couple of hours until the dust clears and peace resumes once more.
It’s a times like this I’m glad I don’t have kids.
ReplyDeleteWell, most of the time actually. Two nieces is quite enough for me.
Just survived the ordeal and it was not pretty. I escaped for the last hour and went out as it was getting heated!
ReplyDeleteIt's bad enough when us girls get going on the Singstar... and we're in our 30s!
ReplyDeleteSingstar brings so much joy to the people singing and so much pain to the people listening!
